Rococo is a style developed in the late 1800s characterized by elegant and ornate furniture, ornamental mirrors, small sculptures, and tapestries. This style uses stones and shells as motifs for decoration and it was popular in parts of Europe in the 18th century(Rococo Wikipedia). Rococo originate in France at the Palace of Versailles(Discover France). It mainly uses pastel colors and a lighter more intimate style of decoration(Brittanica Encyclopedia). Famous Interior Designer

One designer who inspires me is Jonathan Adler. He was a potter who first sold his designs to Barney's New York and then went on to open many of his own retail stores. He attended Brown University. During his career he has worked on projects like the Parker Palm Springs hotel and the High Roller suites for Planet Hollywood Las Vegas. Also, he designed the interior of the real Malibu Barbie Dream House for the 50th anniversary of Barbie. His style is a mix of modernist forms with bold colors and graphics. I am inspired by his use of bright accents in neutrally colored rooms. I also like his use of textures in his furniture.
